INTERNATIONAL AWARD WIN FOR PECO

We're over the moon with Fridays IVCA win - here's the press release;

Leeds and London based motion graphics company, Peco Motion, has triumphed at this year’s International Visual Association Awards (IVCAs) by winning Gold in the ‘Best Animation, Graphics and Special Effects’ category for an innovative film it produced for regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward.

The 2010 IVCAs took place on Friday 26 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. The awards celebrate the best creators and commissioners of film, video, digital and live events for the corporate and public sector.

In partnership with Mezzo Films, Peco created a short piece of film for Yorkshire Forward that would encourage and inspire innovation among Yorkshire’s businesses. The humorous film, entitled ‘What does an innovator actually do?’, features eight animated characters who have gathered to discover what innovation means and what it can do for their businesses.

The film was initially shown at Innovator/09, Yorkshire and Humber’s Innovation Awards, and has since been used on the Yorkshire Forward website to bring innovation to life.

Matt Simpson, Peco’s creative director, comments: “To be recognised at this level is an enormous achievement for Peco and it’s a great honour to win Gold in a category where the competition is so tough.

“Our film for Yorkshire Forward gave us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our creative and technical expertise and to have such positive feedback from the client and now to win this accolade, is a milestone in our progression.”
