2011 Downtown
Client: Oldrids/Mezzofilms

3 years soon fly by with a campaign that’s really working, but it was time for a change. The very popular rotoscoped full graphics commercials had done their job and raised the bar for Mezzofilms' client Oldrids for their Downtown stores.
So we set about a new creative and through our R&D/creative sessions we turned the fact they stock everything from an issue into a massive positive - creating a new strap line for the department store to adopt ‘something for everyone’. Now we just needed a design to work with the new branding, to refresh the customer expectations. We worked on the philosophy that everything in the world has design, whether that be for beauty, for function or both.
The final treatment ‘objects of desire’ involved filming back lit products from a fresh angle which gave us the dynamics we were looking for, coupled with a bespoke music track from the up-and-coming Hannah Trigwell the final result was clean, simple and we think really quite beautiful.
